Football Rant #2/The Broncos Win the SUPERBOWL

The Denver Broncos did it! They won SuperBowl 50!

I don't even know what the hell to say, I'm so proud of this team!

Now, about that football game...

First, here is an old pic of me on the day that Denver played Seattle in SuperBowl XLVIII. I had no idea that the Broncos were going to get their asses handed to them that day. This picture has nothing to do with this blog post, I just thought it was funny to see.

Obviously the defense was responsible for securing the win, but let's not take away from the offense, they moved the ball on quite a bit of plays that set up those field goals. This was a team effort, and the better team was thankfully the Broncos! I think Peyton Manning should retire after this one. He should go out on top in my opinion, but the guy lives for football. I'll support whatever Manning decides to do, and I'm still going to rock my Broncos Manning jersey!

The Panthers had an incredible season as well. I know you can't take away that bad feeling of a loss, especially when it's a SB loss, but their fans need to understand that they still made it to the SuperBowl. They were still the best team of the NFC, and just about EVERYONE picked Carolina to win. The Panthers beat some really good teams this season to achieve the record that they achieved, but unfortunately for them, none of those teams could compare to what the Broncos were this season.

I've only lived in Colorado for about 9 years. When I moved here, I was 17. I'm from Oklahoma, and we don't have any professional football teams there, only colleges to root for. My team used to be the Philadelphia Eagles, and it still is, but ever since I moved to Colorado, I've been on the Broncos bandwagon. People can think I'm "fake" for it or whatever, but I live here for fucks sake, and I was also around for the Cutler and Tebow days, so I feel that I've had my share of letdowns with this team.

It basically goes like this: My NFC Team = Eagles, My AFC Team = Broncos.

Football Rant #1

The Denver Broncos did it again, they are going to another SuperBowl!

I'm so proud of this team! ...but most of all, really proud of Peyton. He's gotten a lot of hate over the years just because he's a good QB, bottom line. He had a rough season, and as a fan it was pretty hard to watch. The guy is a class act on and off of the field, hate him or love him, and he will always be one of the greatest football players to ever play in the NFL. We'll be hearing about him for a while, so you better get used to it.

Congrats to the Patriots and the Cardinals, they both had really great seasons, and the fact that they made it as far as they did says a lot. You have to be a good team to make it into the NFL Playoffs, and you have to be the best team so that you can continue to advance.

Sure, people are always going to say that teams "suck" when they don't make it to (and win) the SuperBowl, but those people aren't real sports fans. They're people who more than likely just sit on the internet, waiting for the opportunity to start any possible type of argument that they can start, because they're obviously bored and don't have much better to do. It also bothers me how people claim to be fans of a specific team and then bash an individual on that team because of a bad play or just bad plays in general. If you like a team, you don't talk crap about the team, the players, or the staff. Show some class ffs.

Carolina is going to be a really tough team, and we all don't want a repeat of the last SuperBowl where Denver faced Seattle... Obviously, I want the Broncos to win it all, but win or lose, it's been an incredibly fun fucking season to watch!

I've said it on Twitter already, but I'll say it again: I love this team, I love their fans and I LOVE the great state of Colorado!

Life Changing Shit... / Crohn's Disease

It's been a little while since I updated this thing, and this time I actually have something to talk about!

At around the beginning of this year, I began noticing that I was starting to feel "different". I started feeling sick at my stomach a lot, and it got so bad that it stopped me from doing daily things. It eventually just got worse to the point where I couldn't even hold down 3 or 4 bites of food without feeling the need to puke. I finally went to the hospital about it a few weeks ago, and after having a colonoscopy I have found out that I have Crohn's Disease.

I will be starting a medication soon called Remicade that can only be given through a 2-hour IV infusion. I will eventually get to the point where I will do this every 8 weeks, probably for the rest of my life, if all goes well.

Although it does suck to be me. I'm definitely trying to make the best of what's left to live of my life. It's crazy, but in a way, being diagnosed with CD has sort of opened up my eyes to living a little bit more. I always used to be so sour towards everything, and now that I actually have a reason to be sour towards everything, it's like I don't even want to be that way anymore. That was the old me, this is the new me.

Addicted to Minecraft

Fucking a, I can't get enough of it! I used to run a server for the classic version a while back, don't get me wrong, still fun, but nowhere near as fun as the real game itself. Just getting to use the basic things like the crafting tools, torches and doors was enough to start getting me hooked. The recent piston update is really bad ass, and makes it really easy to have hidden doors, secret passageways and other really cool shit. My brother and I currently have a server, and anybody is allowed to join it by going to "dirtsmoke.no-ip.org". You will have to be listed to build, though.

I've still been at Terraria, too! My laptop recently just decided to take a shit on me after installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (Stay away from that fucking shit!). Of all the things to fuck my computer up, it's an official update... heh, go figure. Anyway, I'm just sort of waiting on the new Terraria update. The team always seems to surprise us with something cool!

I guess I'm going to finally dust off my 360, and try out Total Miner. Just heard about this on Reddit, I wonder if it would be worth it?
